Review time again! All of the new recipes we tried came out really well. Some were better than others (I think I left the veggies for the calzones in the food processor too long and it came out mushy. The flavor was good, though), but overall very good! Our French toast treat was a hit too. Somehow it was done in half the time, but luckily I caught it in time. Just a little overdone. I'm too tired to go through each recipe individually right now. Maybe another time :)
This will be a short menu. We're having a pot-luck meal at home group this week, we still plan to eat out for a little boy's birthday and then we're going camping this weekend! Next week should be back on track :)
Tacos
Cheese, Crackers and Fruit
Terayaki Chicken Packets (for camping)

Review Time! The Raspberry Garlic Chicken was great! I put the marinade/dressing on everything on my plate - so yummy! Next time I will cut back on the sugar, though. It was a little on the sweet side. The Chicken and Gnocci soup was probably my favorite out of the new ones. Very rich and creamy and perfect for the start of fall (that only exists in my head at the moment). Finally, the Salsa Verde Chicken with Herbed Cornmeal Dumplings was also quite tasty. All of the new meals were fairly quick and easy which is another plus in my book.
Tonight I went back to the Cheeky Kitchen site where the Raspberry Chicken recipe came from to see what else she had. I hit the jackpot! These recipes look so good and easy. I hope they deliver. I also found a breakfast treat for us to try Saturday morning :) After a good run of 5 recipes I hit a wall and copped out with tuna casserole. I can only do so much! ;)
Mediterranean Bean Salad with Chicken Gyros
Chicken and Veggie Nuggets with French Fries
Mango Chicken Salad Sandwiches with Fruit
Veggie Calzones
Shells with Grilled Chicken and Mozerella
Tuna Casserole
Out to eat for a special little boy's 4th birthday! :)
Breakfast Treat: Creme Brulee French Toast

I'm still trying to adjust to our new "school year" schedule around here. Hopefully next week I'll be able to make a 2 week menu to really maximize the time the kids are in school for other things besides grocery shopping. For now, it was a struggle just to come up with one week and now I still have lunches and back packs to pack for the morning. A mother's work is never done!
I stumbled on a new menu blog a few weeks ago and happened upon it again tonight: Food for my Family. The meals I've seen so far are definitely my style. I'm just not sure how time-consuming they'll be. I have 2 on my list for this week so we'll see.
With the holiday weekend we ended up with some impromptu dinners with friends so I have a couple of roll-overs to get me started.
Talapia with Rice and Veggies
Shake 'n Bake Chicken Nuggets with French Fries
Spaghetti with Turkey Meatballs
Grilled Turkey Tenderloin with Mashed Potatoes
Raspberry and Roasted Garlic Grilled Chicken
Chicken and Gnocci Soup
Salsa Verde Chicken with Herbed Cornmeal Dumplings
