Aug 2 - 8

Our 2 week menu worked out great. I really enjoyed only 1 major grocery trip during that time. Towards the end we wound up ordering pizza and having a dinner out that gave me some roll-overs for this week. I don't have the energy right now to make a 2 week menu let alone shop for one. I picked some easy menu items to get us to Sunday when hopefully I'll be up for shopping again.

Slow-cooker Orange Chicken with Rice and Veggies

Chicken Fried Rice

Spaghetti

Bean burritos

Zuccini and Ricotta Gallete

July 19 - 28

Before I forget, I'll start with reviews. The five-spice burgers were a huge hit all around. I couldn't believe the kids actually ate them up! Of course, they didn't eat the mushroom/cabbage topping, but still I was surprised. The Salsa Verde Steak Burritos were also a big hit and we now have plenty of left-overs. It'll be turned into enchiladas this week :) I didn't get around to the veggie pie as I realized my yogurt was expired when I went to make it - oops. I may try it another time, but for now I'm just going to use the veggies in other things this week (if they're still good!). I also haven't tried the lemon ice cream yet, but I'm hoping to tomorrow!

This menu should get us through the next week and a half with leftovers and probably a meal out sometime.

Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup

Slow Cooker Orange Chicken with Rice and Veggies

Chicken Fried Rice

Lasagna with Salad and Bread

Tofu Stir Fry

Beef Enchiladas with Rice and Beans

Chili Lime Cobb Salad

Sandwiches with Fruit and Chips (water park night!)

Aug 23 - 30

This week's menu was a little easier to plan which was nice. We have a busy week coming up. Ari will meet his new teacher on Wednesday morning, his friend will be coming over to play Friday morning then we have 2 birthday parties on Saturday! Next Monday Ari will have a "1/2 day" of school and Wednesday will be his first "full day" (3 hours). I'm so ready to get back into the swing of things and have a consistent routine!

On a food sidenote, I just discovered the blog The Crepes of Wrath. I think I about drooled myself dry over the amazing dessert and pastry pictures and recipes. There are also some dinner recipes to look at, but the chocolate is hard to pass by. I'm thinking about trying the Banana Chocolate Chip Cherry Muffins and possibly the Chocolate Orange Brownie Cookies with M&M's - yummy! :)

Ok...onto the menu:

Ravioli Bake

Grilled Chicken with Garlic Sauteed Spinach

Swedish Meatballs

Orange Beef with Cilantro Rice

Bean Burritos (with homemade beans)

Chicken Fried Rice
